At Tessco, we strive for 100% sales tax compliance on transactions. Tessco’s dedicated Sales Tax team is here to ensure accurate sales tax rates are utilized and guide your business through the state(s) specific rules and regulations.

Sales tax will generate on nearly all orders unless proper documentation is provided. For your convenience, we offer pre-filled sales tax exemption certificates for your business. You can then easily obtain exemption status for your account and ensure invoices are correct from the start, for all shipping locations or even on a project basis.

How to Establish State Sales Tax Exemption

1. Select the applicable certificate or certificates from our state-by-state list based on your “Ship to” locations and your exemption type for states where you are registered to collect sales tax.
2. If you are exempt for reasons other than resale and there is no appropriate Exemption Certificate Listed, please send your state-issued Exemption Certificate.
3. Submit your completed and signed certificates to SalesTax@tessco.com or fax them to 410-229-1669 with your Tessco account number included. Please note, we can only accept documents that are complete, signed, and dated. Exemption cannot be established using tax permits, licenses, registrations, or W9s.
